We are looking for a dedicated PCU Patient Care Tech Days like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the PCU you will deliver high quality, patient centered care in a variety of services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.In our unit:

Brand new tower with 52 beds

Lower patient ratios

Neuro specific population

Great opportunity to transition into critical care from med/surg or skilled nursing background

Open to training the right candidate who would fit in with our family culture

In this role:

You will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance your skills/training and the needs of the department.

You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.

You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.

You will obtain or assist in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests and ensure accuracy of all labels and a timely transfer of specimen.

You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.

You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.

Qualifications:

Utah CNA Certification Required

One or more years of experience in an acute care setting

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

Medical Terminology experience preferred.
