Perform lighting maintenance and floor maintenance where needed throughout the district. This entails replacing light bulbs as needed and installing new ballasts to convert lights to LED . Apply today!ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:1. Provides excellent customer service by listening to the customer’s concerns then communicating with the customer before, during and after the work is done.2. Replace light bulbs in a variety of fixtures throughout the buildings.3. Convert existing light fixtures from CFL to LED4. Learn and implement electrical safety standards5. Prep and paint mechanical room floors.6. Floor maintenance – strip, burnish, polish, wax, paint, seal, etc.7. Follows Supervisor’s instructions to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.8. Performs planned maintenance within various facilities.9. Assists in maintaining tools and equipment.10. Transports supplies and equipment as needed.11. Assist with maintenance projects.12. Other duties as assignedThis is an entry-level position with the potential to prepare the selected candidate for advancement to more skilled building maintenance positions.Minimum QualificationsOne year of related experience; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and related tools or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb step ladders/scaffolding; and, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.A Utah driver’s license may be required.This position is not responsible for providing patient care.Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.PreferencesType Benefited StaffSpecial Instructions SummaryAdditional InformationThe University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
