We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst Intern in our Financial Planning and Analysis department located downtown Salt Lake City. The FP&A division is focused on developing talent that will enable our organization’s long-term success by improving balance sheet returns, growing fee income, controlling expenses, and gaining efficiencies through process improvement and automation. The Financial Analyst Intern will join our CFO Support team responsible for profitability analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, etc. for the affiliate banks. Our team assists business leaders to understand the profitability of the various products and loans offered by the Bank. If you want to work on a team that drives company strategic objectives; works closely with business leadership; answers challenging questions with data; constantly nurtures talent and personal and professional growth; fosters an atmosphere of efficiency, continuous progress, and excellence; and serves as experts on the financial performance of the groups we support, then you will be in excellent company. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to: · Analyze financial statements and other financial documents or data to aide management in decision making process. · Complete analysis in one or more of the following areas: cost analysis, profitability, pricing, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, or reconciliation utilizing related analytical practices, principles, applications, and methods. · Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity, networking, and financial best practices. · Prepare financial planning reports of key performance indicators, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations, and cost benefit information. · Interact with senior finance management and business line leadership across the organization. · Other duties as assigned.
