What does a Compliance Specialist do?An Expeditors Compliance Specialist assists the Compliance Manager in ensuring that the company meets its obligation to comply with all Company policies and all applicable laws and regulations for cargo transportation.Compliance Specialist Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the enforcement of Expeditors’ Operational Process Standards, policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with CFRs relating to import and export shipmentsEnsure compliance with Denied Party Screening, sanctions and embargoesProvide guidance and training to staff on compliance policies and proceduresStay current with changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on operationsAdditional Duties include but not limited to:Internal Reviews and Daily MonitoringMaintaining up to date information with pertinent transportation publicationsPost Entry writing reviews, reports, activities and trendsPrepare and hold training sessions for operational staff
