What does a Cartage Coordinator do?A cartage coordinator is the pulse of our cargo movement, works with all products to ensure proper timelines, provider management (transportation companies) and dispatch, cost control, warehouse synchronization and much more. Cartage Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate with Import, Export, Transcontinental, and warehouse team, along updates and scheduling of our national cargo movement provider to navigate proper flow of goods.
Manage local territories, collect transportation data, and fulfill reports on pick-ups and deliveries.
Oversee and prioritize pick-up, movement, and delivery with service providers, track daily requirement and improvements, conduct reviews, root cause analysis, costs, inventory, and updates to internal parties.
Communicate volume fluctuations and warehouse staffing/scheduling needs to warehouse leadership for evaluation
Assist warehouse needs when cartage duties are completed
Experience and expectations
4+ years of transportation, logistics, or distribution experience
Min 2+ years pf people management
Willing to obtain and maintain DG certification
Strong communication skills; including written and verbal skills with the ability to ask questions of anyone
Confidence and interpersonal skills, ability to respectively relate and communicate to employees at all levels
Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively
