Financial Business Analyst needed for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Salt lake City, UT. Position is remote for 6 months and relocation can be discussed at that time. JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Director of Financial Applications, you will develop creative solutions, implement new financial applications and systems, support existing financial applications, and will work collaboratively in a cross-functional manner across the various company functions including Finance, IT, HR, Legal, Manufacturing and Facilities. We are looking for a curious and motivated business analyst to help refine our processes and uses of data with strong Finance Systems and Applications background. This person will be responsible for managing use, enhancement and support of corebusiness systems that will support business operations of the finance team. Reporting into finance, this role is suited to an individual who is comfortable in a dynamic systems environment, managing multiple projects, providing leadership and driving solution consensus crisscross-functional teams.
- Subject Matter Expert for Oracle EBS, Blackline, Power BI and Adaptive Planning supporting Finance operations.
- Analyze and evaluate business requirements and make solution recommendations.
- Develop and enhance reporting and analysis in support of Finance system ms.
- Provide functional / technical day to day support and system administration.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics using the full range of functionality available through the BI tools.
- Lead system related process improvement initiatives, including business requirements documentation, risk assessment and business impact analysis.
- Provide support for connections to the Oracle EBS and other finance systems, including solution design, integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Mapping of customers business processes to Oracle Financial processes.
- Conduct gap analysis between delivered functionality and client requirements and recommend solutions.
- Interface with business users to improve the understanding of the applications and provide guidance on effective and efficient approaches to utilizing modules, tools, and data.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of Oracle EBS Financials modules experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Understanding the subledger month end close procedure. Understanding the Financial close and consolidation, Process Costing, eBiz Tax touchpoints for AR and AP modules to support the tax calculations from external tax software.
- Strategic thinker with flexibility to be able to understand the details of the problem and the big picture/business solution.
- Knowledge of, or strong desire to learn, data mining, machine learning, data visualization and statistical modeling.
- Strong collaboration skills - ability to discuss financial process issues and translate into functional requirements and technology requirements.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple duties simultaneously.
- Experience with Business Intelligence, process automation, financial planning and reporting processes preferred.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining production IT solutions.
- Communicate clearly, be honest and straightforward, act with integrity.
- Data warehousing and reporting application.
