JOB SUMMARYThe Intensive Outpatient Clinic (IOC) at University of Utah Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) or Clinical Mental Health Counselor (C.M.H.C.) to serve as the Behavioral Health, Lead providing operational oversight for the Clinics behavioral health team, direct therapy & professional counseling services to IOC patients and their families, and support to University of Utah Population Health Center (UUPHC)-wide behavioral health integration efforts.Providing comprehensive and integrated care, the IOC operates as an interdisciplinary team of medical and behavioral health providers aiming to improve clinical outcomes and decrease the overall cost of care for the population it serves. In 2023, Governor Coxs One Utah Health Collaborative recognized the IOC has as leader in novel comprehensive care delivery and sustainable financial innovation. The IOC was also featured in Meet Me Where I Am a short film that premiered in the 2022 Sundance Film Festival that tells the story of one IOC patient and how this clinic provides unique integrated care.Working collaboratively with the IOC medical director and interdisciplinary care team, the Behavioral Health, Lead will ensure delivery of exceptional, patient-centered, and integrated care for a targeted population identified as high-risk for poor health outcomes and high utilization of healthcare services. The IOC team is comprised of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, care managers, social workers and medical assistants. This team works together to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care oriented around treating the bio-psycho-social needs of the IOC patient population.At minimum, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of trauma and substance use disorders with demonstrated success managing and leading teams. Case management experience is preferred. The IOC exclusively serves a Medicaid population and operates under a capitated model with the University of Utah Health Plans. No billing is required.This position reports to the IOC Medical Director and will support the IOC patient population and the clinic team located at the University of Utah Population Health Center near Rose Park.This position is considered Category I: Mandatory and required on campus or health care facilities to support on-site operations.
