Fast growing painting contractor expanding into the Salt Lake City area is seeking a high energy individual for the role of General Manager as we continue to grow our company in new areas. We are NOT a franchise. We are a privately owned family business with locations throughout Washington and Montana. This position starts around March, 2025.
Duties:
Oversee the daily operations of the business in the Salt Lake City area
Provide proposals for residential consumers, general contractors, property management companies, realtor professionals and
commercial property owners/managers
Schedule all “sold” projects and assign paint crews
Manage all “in progress” projects from start to completion
Collect payments and process them per our company policy
Plan and manage all employees and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed to our high standards
Interview and hire employees and subcontractors as well as let go of personnel that do not mesh with our company standards and
goals
Provide reports and updates to our owners per policy
Requirements:
Extensive background in sales, preferably in the painting industry (Paint store manager, previous project management/sales
experience, etc.)
Background in managing employees or subcontractors
Knowledge of paint products and application procedures
Great communication skills for consumers as well as employees/subcontractors
Superior organizational skills are a must
Exceptional computer skills for preparing and sending quotes, communicating with customers, employees, subcontractors and our
home office
Proficient using a smart phone and company apps daily

Submit to a criminal background check as well as a drug screening (Marijuana is not in the screening)

Compensation:
Base pay or 10% of total revenue, whichever is greater
Projected monthly compensation for the first 9 months of 2025 is $7,000
Projected annual pay for 2026 is $110,000 (A conservative projection)
Our average “companywide” general manager, annual compensation is $155,000

Interview Process
This position begins around the start of March, 2025. We will be screening all qualified candidates initially and then starting with a telephone interview with the candidates who meet our criteria. Then we’ll have an in-person interview to obtain additional knowledge of each candidate. After the in-person interviews, we’ll select the final candidate to fill the position. Our process for this position will be in depth as we need to select the right person to be the face of our company in Salt Lake City.
