Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.Responsibilities
Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department
Design & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees Requirements - Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Prior HR Generalist experience preferred
Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
You will do well in this position if you are highly professional, and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Experience with full cycle recruiting
Excellent written and verbal business skills
