This role will be responsible for planning and executing in-person and virtual events, including booking venues and speakers, planning and coordinating agendas, as well as managing various logistical, technical, and financial details associated with small to large-scale special events. What You Will Be Doing:
Assist in establishing an events strategy across the organization that effectively reinforces the company's purpose, mission, values, and key business goals, and builds engagement among our Team Members
Organize, plan, and execute the coordination of company events & activities
Take the lead on planning and coordinating all logistics for Savage’s annual Leaders Forum – a multi-day conference for leaders at Savage
Act as a liaison with outside vendors for printing, video, electronic or virtual production, and other resources needed for projects and events
Partner with other departments and committees across the organization to support their events and coordinate company activities
Establish key metrics/develop key relationships with Team Members to evaluate the success of events, and adjust accordingly
Assist with organizing and implementing volunteer activities
Assist the communications and marketing departments with other initiatives as needed
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
7+ years of event planning and management experience
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, English, or related field is preferred

Calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
Professional when working with fellow Team Members, customers, outside counsel, and the public
Detail-oriented with strong project management experience
Effective knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Able to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Experience planning and coordinating large-scale events and conferences
Strong writing and editing skills
Creative design experience, including graphic design, photo, and video-editing software experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Have the ability to work extended hours and weekends on occasion
Ability to travel and work remotely
Able to stand for an extended time
