The Administrative Assistant supports, facilitates and coordinates the travel of the Vice Provost and other member of the Research Office. This person will also help to coordinate multicampus events with the senior research coordinator.Essential Job Functions

Book and coordinate travel for members of the research and scholarly actvity office.

Assist with the coordination of mutlicampus events, including research day events.

Assist the vice provost with financial reports associated with travel.

Other duties as assigned by the vice provost.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Outstanding organizational and communication skills

Proficiency with oral/written communication.

Demonstrate intermediate skill level or higher data entry knowledge and computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proficiency in such web-based programs as Google Sheets, Docs, Presentations.

Ability to work with high level of confidential material with an attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task and problem solve innovatively.

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated commitment to valuing Inclusive Excellence and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degreefrom an accredited institution OR equivalent combination of education and academic-related experience.

One (1) year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or a health related field or significant progress towards this degree.

Professional background in academic environment.

Experience in organizing or supporting research activities.
