At Jacobs, we’re making our world better with every project, and we know the importance of safety to the success of these projects. We’re looking for an experienced Project HSE professional for a large-scale design-build water project in Phoenix, AZ.

Supports implementation of Jacobs’ HS&E program and occupational safety and health regulations.

Conducts reviews of potential risks on project and identifies potential mitigation measures.

Oversees the implementation of the project Health and Safety Plan as it applies to Jacobs staff and subcontractors/subconsultants, including safety recognition program.

Ensures safety planning (Job Hazard Analysis, Daily Pre-Task Planning) is being conducted and documented, and reviews them for quality and completeness.

Assists Regional Health & Safety Manager with prequalification of subcontractors/subconstultants.

Conducts audits and reviews of project/program.

Assists in investigation of incidents and complaints concerning HS&E risks on the project/program.

Maintains working knowledge of specific requirements imposed by governmental agencies and Jacobs policies and procedures.

Provides regulatory/policy review, interpretation and technical advice.

Recommends improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies, and training. Works under general supervision.

5 years construction HSE experience

BS/BA in HSE related field (desired)

CHST and or CSP certifications (desired)

Bilingual in Spanish (desired)
