DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications System Engineer to support the United States Air Force’s acquisition of the Sentinel weapon system, the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.The Comms Systems Engineer will possess a strong background in systems engineering with a focus on hardline and radio frequency (RF) communications systems. This role involves overseeing, coordinating, and managing the integration, testing, and maintenance of C2 communications systems that ensure seamless, secure, and effective communication in mission-critical environments.Primary Duties
Provide technical oversight and coordination for the integration of C2 hardline and RF communications systems.
Ensure system-level integration, compatibility, and interoperability of communication components.
Conduct trade studies, performance analyses, and risk assessments to support decision-making processes.
QualificationsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 7+ years; or a master’s degree 5+ years of experience.
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Strong understanding of hardline and RF communications principles, protocols, and technologies.
Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, SysML, MATLAB, etc.).
Experience with RF communication systems, including modulation techniques, signal processing, and antenna design.
Familiarity with hardline communication systems, including fiber optics, copper cabling, and related infrastructure.
CertificationsRelevant certifications such as INCOSE CSEP, CCNA, CWNA, or equivalent are highly desirableSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
