We are currently seeking a Wave Planning Lead, 2nd Shift to join our team. In this role, you will support the allocation of orders, release work to the floor, balance workflow and ensure individual waves are correctly prioritized and managed to predetermined wave cycle times. This position also involves maintaining the productivity standards of your functional department while fulfilling the responsibilities of a Lead. Applicants should be proficient in Word and Excel. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A day on the job looks like this: Keep the supervisor apprised of activities and operational needs within your assigned area Respond to associates’ basic operational questions and provide guidance as needed Reassign basic tasks within your group Assist in training new associates assigned to your area Provide associates with verbal updates on their daily productivity performance Leverage a strong understanding of WMS wave planning functionality to identify issues and optimize efficiency Create and release order batches (waves) based on priority, order type, ability and SKU compatibility Monitor wave progress through the Pick, QA, VAS, Replen, Pack and Ship processes, communicating any delays in processing to the appropriate functional supervisor Generate dashboard management reports related to wave cycle times, SLA performance and back orders Share feedback with supervisors on issues affecting outbound order flow Manage order routing changes and edits received from the Order Desk and Customer Service Force-close waves when necessary and proactively communicate with impacted supervisors Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
