Health and Safety Security Lead (On-site)

We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Security Lead to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that Lakeshore adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries and provide a safe workplace environment for our associates. This position supports daily operations by monitoring safety protocols, conducting inspections and promoting a culture of safety and security. The HSS Lead is a hands-on role that collaborates with warehouse staff and leadership to identify risks, implement corrective actions and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Applicants should have an OSHA 30-Hour Certification. The ideal candidate also possesses a Forklift Trainer Certification issued by the state of Utah and a HAZWOPER Certification.A day on the job looks like this:Ensuring strict compliance with OHSA guidelines to minimize work-related injuries and foster a safe workplace environment for our employeesConducting routine inspections of floors, walkways and work areas to identify potential safety hazards, implementing in-field corrections and promptly reporting unsafe scenes or practices to the safety leadershipLeading immediate response efforts to in-field accidents and safety incidentsConducting thorough post-accident investigations, including root cause analysis (RCA)Leading and supporting warehouse staff in daily safety practicesConducting training on safety protocols and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operationsEnsuring staff are trained on and compliant with company and regulatory safety standardsAssisting in the creation and revision of Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) for safetyWorking with safety leadership to review, implement and monitor safety protocols
