Position: UNIX admin Location: Draper UT Duration: 12 Month position is remote now Responsibilities: This position will be remote at least to start. Working roughly MT Times, can be flexible. When we return to the office, this person would also be expected to come to the office on occasion, if near a CBO. Possible for extensions/conversion but no guarantees. The DaVita UNIX Administrator works in a fast-paced, technology dependent, security conscious environment. Production support focused UNIX Administrators work to maintain a highly available environment, work with file structures, manage and monitor storage and system performance, in support of a large user community in a multi-platform, multi-location environment. This position requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize projects in a dynamic environment. This position will report to the supervisor of UNIX production support.
- Vulnerability management of DaVita server, operating system, platform, or application based infrastructure using Kenna.
- Work closely with various technology teams and provide technical expertise to guide them on implementing a remediation plan for the vulnerabilities.
- Review vulnerability reports from Kenna to plan remediation groups to target the maximum number vulnerabilities/servers in each group.
- Work with various teams to implement remediation using puppet and HPSA.
- Review incoming work and use current tool sets to automate response and resolution.
- Audit and remediate OS related security issues, coordinate remediation into patching schedule if necessary. Skills:
- 3 - 6 YOE Expertise in OS patching utilizing Puppet and HPSA Shell scripting and/or perl skills for system administration Excellent communication skills written and verbal Experience in troubleshooting network connectivity in a secure environment Experience with enterprise systems management tools (HPSA, Puppet) Education:
- College degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience 4+ years' experience with UNIX operating systems (IBM AIX, LINUX Red Hat )
