The Credit Administrator at Optum Bank will be responsible for supporting the Director of Credit Administration in managing all aspects of the credit risk management function for their line of business including execution and communication of policy, approval process, administration, portfolio analysis, and remediation of examiner and auditor observations. This will involve working closely with members of the Credit Department and individuals at all levels within Optum Bank. Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with ensuring a consistent credit culture while collaborating with the Chief Credit Officer, Deputy Chief Credit Officer, Director of Credit Administration, Director of Credit, Underwriters, and Portfolio Managers
Review and approve periodic loan reviews for accuracy, completeness and quality control with a focus on credit policy compliance and risk rating consistency
Assist with preparation and presentation of materials for Credit Committee meetings
Identify, evaluate, and implement efficiencies within the credit and credit operations processes
Mentor, train, and coach credit department personnel to ensure a consistent credit culture and development of team members
Assist with stress testing of the loan portfolio
Assist in monitoring the portfolio to ensure satisfactory credit quality
Assist in formulation and upkeep of credit policies and procedures
Maintain current and relevant knowledge of regulations and ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and federal/state laws
Help render and communicate decisions that most effectively mitigate credit risk
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients

7+ years of experience in a bank setting underwriting or approving commercial real estate loans, reviewing loan documents, experience with lending laws, loan transaction procedures, portfolio monitoring, and loan servicing
7+ years of experience analyzing business and personal financial statements associated with loan requests
2+ year of experience mentoring or training credit underwriters
2+ years of experience making credit decisions on transactions > $5 million
2+ years of experience working with internal auditors and loan review personnel in a bank setting
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience working in Credit or Risk at an FDIC insured institution
Familiarity with a broad array of loan types such as commercial real estate, equipment leasing, syndicated loans, consumer loans, and private credit
Expertise in reviewing commercial real estate appraisal reports and commercial real estate environmental reports
Advanced degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution (MBA, MRED, MSF, MACC, etc.) or advanced education in banking through a bankers association or banking school
Completion of a formal commercial credit training program
Experience working out problem loans
Solid Excel reporting skillset
