Job Description
Cloud Engineer (SRE / DevOps Engineer) Contract Target Pay $80 - $90 /hourJob Description: Utah company within the financial lending industry needs an experienced AWS engineer to help them diagnose their current systems, cloud storage and help build a strategy to get back on track. Their existing AWS environments are in disarray, and do not seem to be managed well. They are without anyone currently on staff to manage this and need to turn to a consultant to get things back on track, and then most likely hand off to a new employee sometime in the future. Highly likely that this role will then continue on in a part-time capacity thereafter. This is a good hybrid mix of someone who has SRE and cloud DevOps expertise.Required skills:- 4+ years AWS Engineering experience to include managing, architecting, maintaining AWS Environments
- AWS architecture experience : organization, account design, VPC, subnet, segments
- Containerization EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda
- DevOps and building CI/CD processes with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory
- Web Services with Python, JSON
- Cloud automation and Scripting Experience Cfn, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins
- Encryption, logging and security protocols such as TLS, ELK stack
- API implementation knowledge with Rest, Soap, JSON web services
- Back up and disaster recovery design and approach to building cloud environments
- Team Player
- Excellent communicator and can effectively explain ideas to others
