Clearfield, UT, USA | Full Time Job Title: ICBM Transportation Vehicle Test Engineer Location: Hill AFB, UT (On-Site) Canvas is seeking an ICBM Transportation Vehicle Test Engineer! This position is to provide technical management and advisory services to the Air Force. This is a mid-level position located at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), as part of the 719th Test Squadron under the 804th Test Group affiliated with Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) and will provide oversight of Sentinel ICBM CTF developmental test activities. As a test engineer you will be responsible for test and evaluation to ensure that support vehicles are being designed and built to satisfy program requirements. Duties:
Provide technical support to the Sentinel Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) missile systems.
Support Sentinel ICBM developmental test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
Participate in Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) with the prime contractor.
Conducting and documenting equipment tests, to include functional, performance, and environmental testing.
Analyze test results and identify test and evaluation deficiencies.
Generate reports/presentations and test results and communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
Recommend design changes or modifications to ensure that requirements are being met/satisfied Collaborate with other personnel/stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Decompose test requirements into test objectives, evaluation criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.
Support use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) applications and agile techniques in T&E of the weapon system.
Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, technical and safety review boards (TRB/SRBs), test readiness reviews (TRRs), and test assessment reports.
Oversee qualification and acceptance testing activities occurring at various locations.
Support integration and advancement of government assessment tools through advocacy for technical approaches and development of specific tools to enable assessment.
Author independent assessments of contractor test results.
Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.
Maintain cognizance of all assigned Combined Test Force (CTF)/Test Team engineering activities. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.
Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.
Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; Master's degree desired.
A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
6+ years of relevant experience; 2+ years ICBM experience desired.
