We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs the Monitor Technician on our critical care unit in the ICU you will be supporting the nursing staff with a wide range of clerical duties in addition to evaluating ECG rhythms. We care for individuals with needs ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients, and our team works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and our mission, to care like family. In this role:
You will have the ability to quickly and skillfully inform the RN staff to life threatening alterations in the ECGs of patients being monitored
You will make it a priority to interact with the families in warm and sincere manner as you seek to find out information or notate concerns.
You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
Accurately measures, diagnosis, and post ECG rhythm strips
You will value your role as a team member and work effectively to achieve the goals of the team, department and hospital
What qualifications you will need:
Current licensure as a Current Nursing Assistant Certification or Emergency Medical Technician Certification from the State of Utah preferred
Successful completion of an IV Certification course, with certification recommended
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
