Aid in the supervision of a group of employees, including several cells / areas.

Assist with the planning of overall activities, supervision, and coordinate work with other departments to meet delivery commitments.

Assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments and training records are updated.

Will be responsible for EH&S/CORE/Quality activities within the area.

Assist team members in solving challenges as well as leveraging opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of supervisory and technical duties.

Exercise initiative and judgment and make decisions in planning and scheduling of personnel, as well as administrative duties in support of the Operations Manager.

Plan and carry out employee engagement action items (as applicable).

Take a lead in regard to coaching and mentoring employees to ensure their personal and professional successes are realized.

Must be willing to work extended hours.

Must be flexible and willing to support assignments on non-prime shifts (i.e., B & C shifts)

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

5 years of manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul).

Associate degree, or actively pursuing with at least 3 to 4 courses recently completed.

Proven leadership, interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Possess the ability create an atmosphere of teamwork.

Additional Information:

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
