Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Engineering is an organization within Schwab Technology Services aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams. Wealth Management Engineering (WME), an organization within WAM Engineering, is dedicated to providing support to WAS which is a growth area for Schwab.This newly created role will support the future growth of the WAS business. As a seasoned, hands-on technical project manager, you will enable WME to achieve consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery by implementing best practices, tools, metrics, automation frameworks, and provide Agile oversight in the areas of software development and testing. You’ll serve as a strong and versatile hands-on technical project manager. You will help technology teams in WAM Engineering deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.You will play a critical role in supporting key stakeholders across the WAS organization which is focused on high-net worth and ultra-high net worth retail investors. Supported business functions span Schwab’s Wealth and Investment Solutions including Schwab Wealth Advisory. You will be working with a team of talented and highly motivated technologists that strive to make technology a strategic differentiator for Schwab’s WAS business and their clients.What you haveRequired qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree - Computer Science a plus

Project Management or Certified Scrum Master certification

3+ years experience in a software development department in the financial services industry, preferably involving cross-team dependencies

2-3 years demonstrated experience in managing small to medium sized projects

Strong understanding of Trade Life Cycle, trade workflows of Equity/ETF, Fixed Income and Mutual Funds

Strong understanding of Wealth Management

Technical/Vendor Product skills:

Windows Operating System Environment

Microsoft Office Products

JIRA

Confluence

Preferred qualifications:

Ability to work independently, and also collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders at different levels of the organization

Well organized and structured in approach to all activities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies

Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Enthusiastic and energetic approach when engaging with teams

Attitude of transparency – desire and ability to update partners and grow trust between cross-functional teams

Continual improvement - constantly learning new tools and techniques to grow your craft, yourself, and your teams

A strong understanding and appreciation for the Agile values and principles

Experience with financial data and resource management
