For a financial client we need BI/Data Engineer. This position is based in Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH. We are Primarily looking for W2 Candidates and not looking for Third Party Candidates. The Role The incumbent would be an IT professional with experience transforming data into information for decision support through the development of reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence software and supporting the underlying technology infrastructures. You will be a collaborating member of the Analytics and BI squad within the FFIO Business Process Management & Analytics (BPMA) product area. You will tackle key analytics challenges sought at improving and extending our program and all aspects of solution delivery of data for coordinated, practical insights. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 5+ years experience in IT as a Business Intelligence analyst or developer
- 2+ years proficiency and hands-on experience in platforms like Tableau, OBIEE, Power BI
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject
- Financial Services experience preferred
- Demonstrable experience with report development, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role
- Development and delivery of high quality, timely, and maintainable reporting capability in an agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards, reports, tables, graphs and charts with OBIEE and BI Publisher.
- Experience in database analysis using SQL and procedural logic (PL/SQL, T-SQL)
- Understanding of Data Warehouse and Dimensional Modeling (star-schema)
- Participate in the definition of the BI delivery strategy, standards and support tools
- Experience with statistical analysis using R or Python scripting is a plus
