Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to understand design challenges and help provide solutions
Translating engineering data to buildable scale or full-size mockups
Developing functional prototypes and test hardware
Creating and manipulating CAD models, assemblies, and schematics
Working with complex engineering requirements
Using hand tools, power tools, and machines to fabricate components
Fabricating products from a variety of raw materials, including wood, metal, composites, and plastic
Lifting and moving heavy objects and materials
Adhering to safety guidelines and shop protocols
Perform other duties as assigned

Technical certification or degree in Design, Engineering, or related discipline
Experience in Solidworks, Rhino, or other CAD software
Ability to create schematics and assembly drawings
Knowledge of materials, fasteners, and manufacturing processes
Safe operation of hand and power tools
Rapid Prototyping
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Careful attention to detail
Strong presentation skills
Knowledge of CAM software such as Mastercam or VCarve is a plus
Operation of 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, CNC Routers, Mills, and Lathes is a plus
Essential FunctionsWork Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
