(Required)EXPERIENCE10 Years + cumulative experience at a commercial or naval nuclear reactor facility in the area of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Chemistry, Radiation Protection or Training. Five of the ten years must be in an accredited training program leadership role. (Required)LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONSTraining Instructor Certification (Preferred)SRO License, SRO Cert or SRO Mgt Cert (Preferred)ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESTRAINIING SUPPORT - MANGER:Manage, direct and coordinate accredited and non-accredited training activities; champion the understanding and application of the systematic approach totraining; monitor training program implementation; and evaluate training program effectiveness.Serve as a designee for the training department manager. Act as the department and station conscience for the application of the systematic approach to training.Maintain governance for training program written guidance. Oversee the instructor initial and continuing training programs.Own the continuous improvement model (e.g., , training excellence plan; self-assessments; post-training effectiveness; benchmarking; performance health summaries; key performance indicators; etc.)Monitor instructor and training supervisor performance for compliance with standards and expectations. Monitor key performance indicators to ensure programmatic shortfalls are identified and corresponding recovery actions are developed and implemented.Oversee the condition reporting process, self-assessments schedule, and benchmarking schedule. Coordinate accreditation maintenance and accreditation renewal activities.Partner with station organizations to manage non-accredited training programs (e.g., general employee; leadership; etc.). Manage training departmentinfrastructure (e.g., facilities; computer hardware; learning management system; etc.)Partner with the outage management team to coordinate pre-outage training needs. Oversee the business planning process/budget, procurement, facility upgrades, and contract management.FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:Maintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure the effective and efficient operations.Understands and manages to financial and budget targets. Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions.Proactively monitors and interprets ongoing financial performance and responds strategically.Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions and takes accountability for financial decisions within area.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT :Performs people management.Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments andprogram oversight.Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.Understands and implements company policies.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESAccept ERO position as needed.Accept outage position as needed.Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).Manage organization and related activities.Develop, implement and manage the business plan, budget, goals, training requirements and performance measures for responsible organization.Oversee department’s CAP program.
