We work as a team to deliver the best-in-class service to our customers.Lochridge-Priest is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheetmetal Take-Off Estimator to join our Estimation team on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. This role is responsible for performing on screen take-offs and generating reliable, timely, and quality job estimates for our in-house sheet metal company, Advanced Sheet Metal. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimation, a solid understanding of bidding, take-offs and exceptional organizational and communication skills.Company Benefits

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform advanced takeoffs and input utilizing the estimating software.
Review all bid documents to determine the complete project scope.
Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data.
Read and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentations to create bids.
Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and the actual cost.
Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, value engineering alternatives and compliance with strategic goals.
Attend job turnover meetings, and ensure preparation of job turnover meeting materials. Attend job closing meetings.
Be part of an estimating team working on larger projects.
Review material pricing provided by purchasing and suppliers, and adjust estimating database and procedures accordingly.
Gather details and maintain current market data necessary to accurately estimate construction, material and soft costs associated with project construction.
Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.
Skills
Understanding of the construction bid process and on-screen takeoff platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software, Trimble/Quickpen
Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
