We are seeking a proficient Construction Expeditor to join our construction company on an immediate basis. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the smooth completion of construction at all of our construction sites. You will make sure that each site has a sufficient and convenient stream of hardware, tools and other raw materials.
As a Construction Expeditor, you must be an efficient individual ready to perform multiple tasks. You should have excellent communication skills and the capability to tackle issues. You should have experience in construction. Your main objective is to ensure materials and tools are available as needed in order to eliminate downtime.
Responsibilities will include:
Organize the delivery of supplies as per the preferences and details.
Determine issues to accelerate the delivery of orders.
Assess orders upon arrival to ensure the right quality and amount have been delivered.
Supervise stock of supplies for various jobs or locations.
Understand technical specifications of material and equipment to meet the project deadlines
Organize the movement of equipment between different construction locations.
Keep up great associations with suppliers and vendors.
Maintain records, receipts, and invoices precisely.
Minimum Requirements:
Pass pre-employment & mandatory random drug screening
Pass driving record - NO DWI in past 3 years
Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Speak & read and write English to understand traffic, safety & construction issues
Possess a valid Texas Driver License (with or without endorsements) & valid TWIC card
Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
Must have experience hauling heavy equipment
Communication skills.
Proven 2+ years experience as Construction Expeditor preferred.
Good understanding of technical specifications of material and equipment.
Proficient with MS Office and Gmail
