Our internship program is designed to foster meaningful clinical skills for aspiring nurses.This job would be perfect for a:

Nursing Student currently enrolled in a BSN or ADN program and has completed at least 1 nursing clinical

ResponsibilitiesExpectations:

Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours in a two week period (i.e. 4 hour, 8 hour or 12 hour shifts)

Provide a variety of routine tasks and direct patient care to support our patients and our clinical teams

Performs phlebotomy and 12 lead EKGs as permitted on the assigned unit

Removes urinary catheters and saline locks

Answer call lights and unit phone to assist with questions and concerns from patients and family members

Communicate, monitor and document pertinent patient information

Assist with admission, transfers, transporting, lifting, and discharge of patients

Perform hourly rounding and respond promptly to patients, families, and clinical team requests

Work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment

Assist in organization, cleaning, and safety of the unit and patient rooms

High School diploma or GED

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Has completed at least one clinical rotation in nursing school

Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (with verification of enrollment and status)
