Job DescriptionThe Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting reporting and dashboard solutions for our enterprise. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of Power BI design, development, and support (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and technical support). This includes capturing business-case and technical requirements to design and develop data models, reports, and dashboards that are intuitive and enable actionable decisions for the end-user. This position will work directly with sourcing database queries, schemas, and tables across multiple data sources, including patient accounting systems, clinical systems, and a variety of data warehouses. The Senior Power BI Developer will report to the Director of Revenue Strategy & Analytics.Monitor refreshes on Power BI surfaces (currently 60+ reports and growing)Address and correct any failures and create process improvements and continue to add what can improve within optimization.Consult and act as liaison between the data management and analytics team and develop and create / design new visualizations and reports in Power BIAdditonal Duties: Study, analyze, and understand business requirements from end-users, and transfer that knowledge to design and develop actionable, user-friendly, and visually appealing reports and dashboards within the Power BI platform. Monitor daily ETL results to ensure source data is loaded and refreshed in Power BI in an accurate and timely manner. Troubleshoot and resolve issues timely and as necessary. Collaborate with SQL and Data Management team to source new data, develop new tables and views, etc. to augment, refine, or create new Power BI data models for the purpose of providing the end-user with more actionable analytics and insights. Refine and standardize existing architecture, data models, and measures to mimic Power BI community best practices. Comprehensively document data models, algorithms, metrics, measures, formulas, refresh schedules, etc. in a format that is clear and shareable. Routinely test data for accuracy to ensure reporting integrity. Research and correct data irregularities and issues as necessary. Stay current and knowledgeable on all Power BI updates and release notes to take advantage of new features and capabilities. Create and manage report and dashboard subscriptions within Power BI. Work within the team to perform deep dive analyses of billing, denial, volume, revenue, etc. trends and issue root causes on an ad hoc basis. Manage data governance activities to ensure that data is presented consistently across all business units of the organization.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
