You’ll be: Following all applicable policies and procedures Working overtime schedule as requested to meet production needs Fabricating and welding products to production expectations Reading, interpreting, and executing engineering drawings of weldments Understanding AWS American Welding Society weld symbols Qualifying in various welding techniques such as GMAW, FCAW, and more Using rigging and cranes for movement of weldments Participating in activities and exercises in support of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS)This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Have a minimum of 12 months of welding experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment or possess a welding certification from an accredited college or institution Have an intermediate level of proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints Have a basic understanding of safety requirements in a manufacturing environment Have basic computer knowledge and knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices Have the ability to perform basic math functions and use metric measurementsWhat happens next:Once you apply, you’ll proceed to the next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
