Personal Care Assistants are needed for a 41-year-old professional with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, type 2. She is an active wheelchair user who works from home most of the day.
DUTIES INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH:
Showering
Toileting
Dressing
Grooming
Transfers
Laundry
Housekeeping/Organizing
Preparing meals
Taking Medication
Light Range of Motion/Exercise
Skin care
Pet care
Running errands/Escort
There is no direct lifting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be over 18 years old
Must be able to pass a national background check
Must be able to work in the U.S. legally
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must have reliable transportation
PREFERRED:
Experience in this field
No smokers
CPR and First Aid
No heavy lifting, but the position requires bending, squatting, and pulling.
SHIFTS: AM/PM/Weekends, Flexible
SALARY: $15 per hour. Pay is bi-weekly and negotiable.
