Sr. Accountant

Description We are currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in League City, Texas. This role will primarily focus on a range of accounting tasks such as month-end closing activities, assisting with ERP implementation, and preparing monthly financial reports. You will also be required to provide support during annual audits and assist with tax renditions as needed.Responsibilities: Handle all month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, time allocations, and cost accounting Assist in the implementation of ERP systems Ensure the completion and review of all balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and distribute monthly management financial reports Provide necessary support during annual audits Handle various ad-hoc requests as needed Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure proper segregation of duties and reviews Assist with Federal Excise Tax and State/Local Property Tax Renditions as necessary Use software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for various tasks Apply skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations to daily tasks.Requirements Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Ability to perform Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Experience in handling General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close Knowledge of Job Cost and Percentage of Completion method Excellent understanding of accounting regulations and procedures Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong ethic for maintaining confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
