Major Accountabilities:

Assists with identifying and communicating about policy and key issues for each of Valero’s facilities.

Assists with research and planning for upcoming elections, employee involvement, legislative sessions.

Assists with strategies to promote public policy positions to benefit Valero.

Assists with researching representation at federal, state, and local level for each of Valero’s facilities.

Assists with written summaries of legislative and regulatory activities and developments of interest to Valero.

Assists with monitoring the legislative and regulatory environment in order to identify, evaluate, analyze and report major changes and emerging issues which could have a significant impact upon the company.

Position will be located in: Washington DCThis position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, or higher degree, in business or related major, preferable political science or government.

Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred.

Obtained at least 60 credit hours by the start of internship required.

Graduation dates with either your bachelor's or higher degree of August 2025 through May 2027 required.

Understanding of the legislative and regulatory process preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods preferred.

Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.Please include the following in your resume:
