An exciting career awaits youAt MPC, we’re committed to being a great place to work – one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.POSITION SUMMARY:The Galveston Bay Refinery located in Texas City, Texas, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Turnaround Project Controls Scheduler .  Duties include developing and managing Plan of the Plans and schedules for ER/CAP projects performed in the planned outage.  The Scheduler will manage progressing , produce tic books/look- aheads , and reporting out of Primavera/Artemis.  This position would also ensure that all Turnaround team members adhere to the GBR MPC Scheduling Standards.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage assigned turnaround plans and add to Primavera Master Schedule

Assume the Lead position over the assigned Primavera file to assure that items are not added or removed after control estimate is complete without proper paperwork.

Assure that all coding is correct in the Primavera schedules based on MPC TAR Practices

Maintain updates to schedule to match work list as job cards are submitted from Area Leads.

Attend overall Logic reviews with Area Leads and individual units to finalize logic.

Manage the effort of manpower levelling the entire file and producing histograms to develop hiring plans for Const.,Pre ., T/A and Post.

Entering progress updates for all phases Const., Pre, T/A and Post

Interfacing with Project Controls to pass on man-hours for check estimates / control estimates.

Produce and distribute Tic Books, daily schedules, daily progress/curves/bar charts for assigned turnarounds and any other requested reports from P6 and/or Artemis.

Interface with numerous MPC/contract planners to assure that their plans are per MPC standards.

Produce data to Leads for close out and performance summary reports for turnarounds as required .

Support and train GBR Primavera users – assist in developing Planner’s Reference Manual.

Mentor and troubleshoot schedule logic and coding problems for users.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors in Construction Management, Engineering, Planning & Scheduling or an equivalent field is preferred. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)

Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Advanced Excel/Access Experience). SAP or Planning and Scheduling software a plus.

Minimum of four years of experience in executing, contracting, planning and scheduling projects work is required.
