Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor Mathematics Location Texas A&M University, College Station, TX Open Date 8/8/2024 Position ID 143355 Description The Department of Mathematics, College of Arts and Sciences, at Texas A&M University anticipates two openings for an assistant professor (tenure-track) position in the general area of data science and computational mathematics, with particular interest in (but not limited to) numerical analysis; large scale scientific computing; computational linear algebra; numerical optimization; approximation theory; learning theory; and data, signal, and image processing. These are full-time positions with 9-month academic appointments beginning in the fall semester 2025. Candidates are expected to have made significant contributions in their research field and provide evidence of excellence in teaching. Research productivity beyond the doctoral dissertation will normally be expected. Responsibilities for these positions include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, research, and service to the Department and the University.
