Clinical Pastoral Education- Intern - Temple

The CPE Intern provides an opportunity to gather work experience performing administrative and other specific functional area activities working side-by-side with Baylor Scott & White Health employees lasting approximately ten (10) to eighteen (18) weeks duration. The CPE Intern can expect to perform the following:

Gain knowledge and experience through various assignments and on-call evening and weekend shifts as scheduled

Receive assignments through a supervisor and works on their own under limited supervision to complete projects and tasks as assigned

Provide support in functional area of assignment in accordance with instructions and established procedures

Obtain information through sources and disseminates this information to appropriate individuals and departments for follow up and clear communication

Receive appropriate training and orientation to function successfully in the department

Maintain records and files as directed

Attend meetings as needed, asks questions and provides information about current work

Attend class under CPE Supervisor's direction, actively participates and completes assignments promptly

Given appropriate access and training in EPIC and is required to perform professionally with this patient information

The ideal candidate will have interpersonal and customer service skills; Verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work with and respect cultural norms of diverse groups of people, follow instructions, and learn assigned computer tasks.
