Description We are in search of an Accountant for a manufacturing company based in Stafford, Texas. The Accountant will be fundamental in reconciling bank statements and the general ledger, providing backup to Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, and utilizing advanced Excel skills for data management and problem-solving. This role is a contract position and does not require a degree, offering a unique employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct thorough bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements Provide backup support to the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable departments as needed Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups, for financial data management and problem-solving Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations Resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Collaborate with the financial team to prepare financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance Utilize Epicor software for financial management; previous experience with Epicor is advantageous but not necessary Ensure customer credit inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments.Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role or related field Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Ledger Reconciliations Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functionalities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
