SUMMARY: The Enclosure Weld Support will use a hand, pneumatic and power tools to clean, polish and grind metal components per specifications in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. Training will be administered by the Enclosure Weld Lead. Shift: 1st Shift – 4:00am – 2:00pm Monday - Thursday (OT as required) Reports To: Operations Supervisor WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Must be able to read and interpret tags in order to efficiently maintain our traceability of the components

PPE shall be worn at all times while in the shop

Only operate equipment for which they have been formally trained

Follow all UA safety regulations and policies during the use of grinders, sanders, and stud guns

Cleaning material using a DA sander, grinder, or hand tools

Moving material from the welding area to the paint department utilizing a pallet or pallet jack

Other duties may be added

WHAT YOU’LL BRING OR WE’D LIKE TO SEE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required

The individual must have exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes

Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools

Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment

Must possess a keen sense of attention to detail

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

Have completed forklift certification training with safety team to operate a forklift

Can record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This will be an onsite position in Seguin, Texas.

If selected for the role, a drug screen and physical will be conducted.

NOTE: Given the nature/size of our product and customer requirements, we require a stringent hiring process to ensure the highest quality product.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
