Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.Job Summary:IPSD has a great opportunity for a Production Technician II supporting our C13 Line at the Seguin facility. As a Production Technician II, you are responsible for assembling Caterpillar diesel engines, reporting to Section Managers, and meeting customer and company demands.What you will do:
Align and secure engine components according to work instructions
Install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components with precision
Ensure that assembly parts and materials meet quality standards
Collaborate with other departments to address assembly-related challenges and suggest improvements
Verify correct alignment of engine components using schematics and part prints
Inspect parts and materials to guarantee they are defect-free
Conduct audits and quality inspections to rectify known defects
Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspections on all engines
Manage shipping and receiving, verifying invoices for inventory accuracy
Ensure received and delivered materials are free from defects
Repack and organize parts for warehouse storage or assembly area delivery
Operate forklifts and tuggers for material movement within the facility
Ensure accurate and efficient material delivery and removal
Submit and assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives
Adhere to standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions
Provide information to supervisors and managers regarding processes in the assigned area
Perform any other duties as assigned
What you will have:
Strong teamwork skills
Mechanical inclination
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Either 3 months of assembly/manufacturing experience or an Industry Certification

Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

$17.50/hour starting payrate plus shift premium
Monday - Thursday, 4:30PM - 3:00AM
Overtime as required
