Teijin Automotive offers employees the opportunity to join a leading edge company within the composite material industry and enjoy the benefits offered by a growing company in North America and internationally.We are looking for a Tooling Mold Tech for our facility in Seguin, TX!Essential Job FunctionsIncludes the following.Operate such equipment as lathes, grinders, milling machines, radial drill presses, to include Bridgeport. Welding skills with TIG welding and reference Weld and repair any tooling components. Troubleshoot tooling problems/process problems and design special tools, fixtures. Provide tooling assessments and technical assistance. Assist the Engineering and Manufacturing departments in developing methods to incorporate process/product improvement ideas. Fabrication of jigs and fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations. Preventative Maintenance (clean and repair) Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping in work area as well as assigned areas by supervision. Has responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective actions, and quality of products. Willingness to work overtime, holiday schedules and weekend if required to support manufacturing operations. Must be able to complete overhead crane and lock out tag out training. Participate, comply, and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills- Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.Must be able to read and interpret mold drawings.ExperienceCertified Journey Man Tool Maker or equivalent documented experience required. Must complete and pass a lift truck (tow motor) safety and lock out procedure program.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent vocational training.Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift to 50 pounds.Working ConditionsWill be required to work within the plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
