The Job: FCI is in search of a Test Engineer to join our Testing Department in our Industrial sector. This position will be responsible for supporting new product development and specification testing by validation and verification. Additional responsibilities will include developing new software utilities to enhance performance and validation for our test production team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting new and existing projects and collaboration with cross-functional teams such as our Test Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering departments. Who We Are Looking For:

An experienced and talented Test Engineer who can support the development of our software utilities to enhance product performance and testing.

The ideal candidate with a solid background in electro-mechanical manufacturing with a commitment to producing high quality work.

What You’ll Do:

Provide new product validation and engineering testing.

Support and maintain the Metrology and calibration software utilities and equipment.

Manage the software development by utilizing Visual Studio.

Collaborate with other programmers to make enhancements and modifications to existing or new FCI developed product software.

Participate in physical test stand designs and/or retrofits, including automation or data collection routine.

Assist with designing test fixtures to allow for non-standard process connections and spool pieces to adapt into calibration stands.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 1-year applicable work experience.

Relevant degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering are preferred.

The ability to program in Visual Basic or C is desired.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint for preparing reports and graphing results.

Strong knowledge of test methodologies, tools, and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Able to support any troubleshooting in calibration programs related to electrical wiring, firmware, flow-stand software and set-up.

Experience in a similar manufacturing environment revolving around electro-mechanical equipment, such as multi-meters, o’scopes, decade boxes, data acquisition systems, low voltage power sources, and other basic electronic test equipment.

Physical/Travel Requirements

This position requires bending, walking, standing, typing, sitting for extended periods of time while operating a computer and some lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs. Little to no travel required.
