Job Description

This position is for a Texas company specializing in the fabrication and installation of sheet metal HVAC duct. Contractor has been a leader in the HVAC duct industry providing high-quality services. We have worked on some of the largest, most complex projects in the area. Our unparalleled quality and attention to detail can make the difference between and building and a landmark.

As a Sheet Metal Duct Superintendent you provide the necessary leadership to ensure that all projects are organized to insure the very best Customer Service, Quality Workmanship, Safety and Timely Productivity.

Responsibilities:

· Review project requirements with Project Manager

· Preplan, coordinate schedule and manpower requirements

· Inspect sites and ensure proper installation procedures are followed

· Ensure crews follow safe work practices and are fully committed to the safety procedures

· Provides day-to-day on-site supervision of all field staff including foreman, installers and subcontractors

· Coordinates with Project Managers and upper level managers and communicates information to field staff

· Provide information daily to help direct manpower in the most efficient, cost-effective manner

· Report daily on progress of jobs

· Responsible for the quality of the installed work and to make sure there are no deviations from the job specifications without approval.

· Attend all kick off meetings and site meetings related to projects

Job Qualifications/Requirements

3 years of experience in the Sheet Metals Duct Systems in a supervisory capacity within the Commercial Construction Industry

Local market knowledge preferred

Experience installing and managing installation crews

Firm understanding of all aspects of commercial HVAC construction, including reading plans and specifications

Bilingual - Spanish (a plus but not required)
