Job Description:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Flooring Inspector to evaluate and diagnose
issues with installed flooring materials, including laminate, tile, wood, vinyl, and subflooring. In
this role, you will conduct thorough inspections to determine whether the issues with the flooring
are due to manufacturing defects, poor installation practices, or subfloor-related problems. You
will work directly with clients, contractors, and manufacturers to ensure accurate and reliable
inspection results.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct thorough inspections of installed flooring, including laminate, tile, wood, vinyl,
and subflooring.
● Diagnose issues related to flooring installation errors, material defects, or subflooring
problems.
● Provide detailed, written reports on findings, including photographic documentation and
recommendations for repair or remediation.
● Advise clients on flooring maintenance, care, and long-term performance.
● Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols during inspections.
● Work closely with manufacturers, contractors, and insurance companies to resolve
flooring issues.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, flooring materials, and installation
techniques.
Requirements:
● High School Diploma or GED (Required).
● Home Inspector Licensed in Texas
● IICRC Laminate Flooring Inspection Certification or Subfloor Inspection
Certification (Required).
● Experience in Flooring Installation or Repair (3+ years preferred).
● Knowledge of various flooring types (laminate, wood, vinyl, tile) and subflooring.
● Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and reporting.
● Driver’s License and reliable transportation for site visits.
