Dashcam install, plus future work

Texas, San antonio, 78201 San antonio USA
Aplica ya

I am soliciting quotes for an onsite installation of a dashcam, and install of a right angle antenna fender mount, which I have. I don’t have a need for it yet, but the fire department left a hole in the fender for it, so I want to plug it with something, or just cover it.

The dashcam is a 70mai Model A800S-1,with rear cam set. The vehicle is a 2004 Ford Expedition 4x4 SSV (police package). FWIW, the SSV suspension appears to be as much as 1.5” taller than stock. It used to be a fire department vehicle from Pflugerville FD. I’m sure a dashcam install is simple enough, but I have a bad heart and no endurance.

I’m collecting quotes from more than one mobile mechanic so I can evaluate the work to decide on future work I’ll eventually be getting done (see below).

The work will be done at my home, outside the loop in the SeaWorld area. If necessary, I have plenty of tools, etc. available for use.

I will be retaining any unused, removed, or left over parts; that is open to discussion.

Please specify when you would like to do the work, how much time you expect to need. Bathroom, water, and electricity are available.

Any diagnostic or other fee must be included in the quote. The quote must specify any amount payable if I turn down the work after you perform your diagnosis/assessment.

Please include referrals and warranty/guaranty details and specifics.

I will eventually be hiring someone to do some follow on work:

1. Install two radios in the center console:

1.1. A Radio Shack 23ch telephone style CB, and

1.2. a RS 10 meter HTX-10

1.2.1. both wired to an in-cab external speaker and a PA speaker under the hood, plus required power, antenna, etc.

2. Aux battery plus wiring, including a 4 position battery isolator/combiner, etc.

3. Two LED Off road lights.

4. Work lights, side marker lights

5. Spare tire mount on front crash bar ( I have a bolt on mount which might work).

6. Aux fuel tank in place of under body spare tire mount

7. Rock sliders & Skid plates, off road bumpers, F&R

8. NATO power connector

It has a modified center console where the FD had their radios, which have been removed, but I see a number of power leads there which should be useful; I have a power bus which can be installed and used for this. The fire department had multiple antennas on this truck, but it has a roof rack now, so the roof antennas won’t be available. Available for use, I have on hand, NIB:

1. The radios listed above (NOT NIB)

2. Three 4 post power distribution blocks ( I thought at least one could go inside the console)

3. One 4 position battery isolator/combiner

4. 2 power inverters, one 300 watt, and one 1 KW

5. A 55 Watt work light

6. LED light bar wiring harness, and 2 LED pod mount off road lights. I’m considering mounting them on the FD crash bar.

7. Two battery post rotary power switches and one blade switch

8. One surface mount triple toggle switch

9. Two 4 position battery post power distributing terminals

10. The FD installed and left a police push bar on the front of the truck, which has mounting surfaces for lights, antennas, etc.
