Job description
Metro Steel is a premier structural steel fabricator/erector and has an opening for an estimator with talent, initiative and drive to join our team and have a critical role our growing organization
ESTIMATING PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
Determine labor and equipment costs
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
Understand project logistics (New, repair, and demolition) and project schedule
Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
Review quotes and estimates with the project team
Prepare estimates and different levels of completion
Complete pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers
BRIDGE ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS :
Estimating experience
Advanced computer skills with estimating software
Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
Understand aspects of structural steel and misc metal concepts.
