Job Title: Part-Time Assistant for Mental Health Therapist's Private Practice

Location: Pleasanton, TX

Position Overview:

Seeking a highly organized and empathetic individual to join the team as a part-time assistant. This position offers the opportunity to support the therapist in various administrative tasks, enabling them to focus more fully on client care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to contribute to the mental health and well-being of others.

Responsibilities:

Manage scheduling and appointment booking for clients.

Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.

Handle phone and email inquiries from clients, providing courteous and timely responses.

Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with billing and invoicing processes, including insurance verification and claims submissions.

Prepare and organize therapy rooms for sessions, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Help with general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining supplies.

Support marketing efforts by updating the practice website and social media platforms as needed.

Collaborate with the therapist to identify areas for improvement in office procedures and workflows.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in psychology or related field preferred.

Previous experience in a medical or mental health office setting is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency with scheduling software (Simple Practice), electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Zoom. Experience w/ Canva is a plus!

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Compassionate and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients from diverse backgrounds.

Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team environment.

Availability to work part-time hours, Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm w/ 1 hr. lunch break.
