Job Description:
Quality Metals is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
Prepare outgoing shipments, securely packaging items and labeling them accurately.
Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments.
Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or order discrepancies.
Operate equipment such as forklifts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
Requirements
Must be able to pass a Drug Screening
Must be able to work in varied temperature conditions
