Dallas-based law firm has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a San Antonio-area attorney who would like to supplement their practice by serving as Local Counsel in Bexar and surrounding counties.
Applicants for the position of Local Counsel Attorney must be competent to assume full responsibility for the handling of general civil litigation matters, commercial and real estate-related litigation matters, and family law matters.
The ideal candidate is a solo practitioner who is seeking additional work, but who does not want to: (1) incur additional expenses for advertising and marketing, (2) spend time attending “networking” and other client-development events, and (3) manage or perform back-office tasks such as client billing and collections.
Attorneys who are invited to join the Firm must be experienced, responsible, and motivated “self-starters,” who are “client-service” oriented.
Minimum Qualifications (no exceptions):
1. Be licensed by, and in good-standing with, the Texas State Bar, with no history of professional discipline;
2. Reside in Bexar (or a contiguous) county;
3. Possess the knowledge and experience needed to work independently, with minimal supervision;
4. Be responsible and professional;
5. Possess superior legal research and writing skills;
6. Possess oral advocacy and courtroom skills;
7. Be willing, if needed, to serve as lead counsel in litigation matters.
