Vent Hood Cleaning Technician Needed $18 - $24Hr D.O.E.

Hood Boss is looking for hard working, responsible individuals for crew leader and helper positions. Related experience is preferred, but not required.

- Position is full time.

- Typical work schedule is Sunday through Thursday 7:00pm to 6:00am. Must be flexible with scheduling.

- Must have a valid driver license.

- Must be comfortable on ladders and heights.

- Must be able to work long hours on your feet.

- Must be able to lift 75 lbs multiple times per night.

- Work consists of using pressure washers and degreaser to remove grease accumulation from commercial vent hoods and exhaust systems.

Hood Boss services the kitchen exhaust cleaning needs for commercial kitchens in restaurants, hotels, hospitals, school districts, etc. We are growing and are looking for people to grow with us.

We are based out of Buda, TX and looking to station a truck in San Antonio. We are looking for a crew Lead and helper for this role.

Crew Lead responsibilities:

 Following the Hood Boss Training Policies and Acknowledgment Form

 Power washing of kitchen exhaust systems including hood canopy, duct collar, vertical duct work, horizontal duct work,

filters, exhaust fan blades, and exhaust fans to bare metal.

 The set up and take down of all job sites and equipment including wiping down of stainless-steel hoods, setting up

wet/dry vacuums, high pressure hoses, pre-sprayers, ladders, hanging plastic sheeting, etc.

 Independent completion of assigned work projects outside the scope of kitchen exhaust cleaning, without supervision.

 Completion of jobs assigned per week in a 45-hour period of time.

 Complete all work assigned to that truck in the most efficient way possible without callbacks

 Report any system or mechanical deficiencies to Management. This is done through MyTechPix and the service memo

section in Work Wave Service.

 Follow instructions and guidance given by Management.

 Document cleanings and deficiencies with digital cameras. Capturing required Before and After pictures of each exhaust

system serviced.

 Following check list inside MyTechPix to ensure all portions of the system are cleaned.

 Bi-weekly Oil changes of Pressure Machines and logging maintenance performed with Management.

 Maintaining cleanliness and organization of issued vehicle (pressure wash weekly, keep inside of vehicle clean at all

times, remove trash daily, and organize equipment in vehicle)

 Perform required inventory of vehicle weekly (end of week). This includes 1. Nightly tool box items, 2. Crew vehicle

equipment, 3. Weekly consumables and 4. Crew Vehicle Maintenance.

 Report to Management the use of consumables and keep adequate levels of supplies to complete work scheduled.

 Driving company vans and vehicles to and from job sites and following all driver safety procedures.

 Set up work trucks prior to leaving for job sites. Set up job sites and work trucks for cleanings. Set up and operation of

various pressure washing equipment and chemical applications.

 Manual removal of heavier buildup with various scrapers and mechanical equipment. Minor repair work on some

equipment.

 Fill out proper reports for jobs completed.

 Communicate any safety infraction with Management. Correct safety infractions if witnessed and halt operations if

infraction cannot be corrected.

 Communicate with customers and other staff, plus various other duties as requested and needed.

 Communicate with Management on expected completion times of assigned work.

 Communicate with technicians prior to reaching a jobsite to gage the comfort level of experience and determine best

course of action for each work site.

 Communicate with other team leads that may have more knowledge and experience with a particular job site that you

don’t.

 Inspect other areas completed by technician to ensure company standards have been met.

 In instances where multiple crews are on a jobsite, communicate with the other crew prior to entering jobsite for the agreed

upon best plan of action to complete the job.

 Clocking yourself and assigned technician in and out through the use of MyTechPix

 Continuing education of NFPA 96 codes and regulations.
