We are a family of four with two young children (a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old). Both parents work from home, and our household already includes an amazing part-time house manager/nanny, who provides childcare support and handles key responsibilities in the home. We’re looking to add a Family Assistant to support our home in a more hands-on, independent role - someone who keeps the house running efficiently while other household team members focus on childcare and larger projects.
Title: Family Assistant (with household up-keep support)
Employment Type: Part-time (Approximately 15–20 hours/week)
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $18 - 21/hour (commensurate with experience)
Location: Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
Schedule: 3–4 hours/day, ideally Friday - Tuesday, with some flexibility based on your availability
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal person is self-sufficient, calm, organized, and observant—someone who can come into the home, get started without needing a lot of direction or interaction, and take initiative. You should be comfortable working around parents who are focused on their work during the day, including one who prefers minimal interruption.

Core Responsibilities:
Household Management & Light Cleaning:
-Daily reset and tidying of common spaces (toys, floors, surfaces)
-Wipe counters, tables, and high chair daily
-Swiffer/mop/vacuum floors and high-traffic areas daily
-Keep home prepared for bi-weekly cleaners
-Break down boxes, take out garbage and own diaper disposal
-Wash dishes
-Load/unload dishwasher and manage kitchen upkeep
Family & Child-Related Support:
-Transport children to and from grandparents’ house (family car will be provided)
-Occasional childcare backup (e.g., when Nanny is unavailable)
Laundry & Linen Care:
-Wash, dry, fold, and put away clothing, towels, and bedding
-Rotate linens
-Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
Errands & Inventory Management:
-Replace household inventory in the house: pantry, toiletries, paper goods
-Add to weekly orders (Amazon, Costco, Target)
-Handle returns, dry cleaning, and local errands
-Accept packages and sort mail
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
-Help with occasional deep cleaning: fridge, oven, baseboards
-Support seasonal or project-based organizing (toy closet, mudroom)
Schedule & Flexibility
Ideal availability: Friday–Tuesday, approximately 3 hours/day
Availability for either morning drop-offs (around 8:30 AM) or evening pick-ups (around 5:00 PM) during weekdays
We are open to working with your availability during our preferred days- we're flexible and focused on fit for our family and team
Clean driving record required; family car is available for errands and child transport
